When you first open KAYA, you can create an account using an email and password, or by signing in with an existing Facebook, Google, or Apple account.
If you sign up with email, you'll be asked for your full name, email address, and a password (must be at least 8 characters).
After signing up, verify your email. KAYA sends a verification link to the email you signed up with. You'll see a banner at the top of the app reminding you to verify until you click that link. If you don't see the email, use the "Resend Email" button in that banner.
Then you'll pick a username, and land on the home screen with a "Setup KAYA" progress tracker (0 of 6 steps complete) walking you through:
Add your height and reach, so KAYA can suggest climbs and beta that fit your size
Turn on notifications to stay up to date on new sets, beta on your projects, and climbing news
Follow friends
Log your first climb
Upload a beta video
Invite a friend
You may also see a prompt to start using your Logbook, where you can log sends and attempts and share how you're feeling each session. KAYA PRO adds automatic session summaries and performance suggestions on top of this.
The setup progress bar doesn't include adding a profile photo, but it's worth doing early too. Tap the profile icon in the bottom right corner, then tap "Edit Profile" to add one.
Keep in mind which login method you choose when signing up, since you'll need to use that same method to log back in later. If you sign up using Facebook, Google, or Apple, KAYA can't reset a password for you, since it doesn't store a separate password for those login methods.
