How do I report an offensive climb name?

How to report a climb or route name that violates KAYA's Community Standards.

Written by Cheyenne Stirling

KAYA is committed to an inclusive, respectful community, governed by its Community Standards. Since climb and route names are sourced from the climbing community, some names may violate those standards by citing sexually explicit, racist, derogatory, homophobic, or sexist content.

When a climb name is flagged, KAYA masks the full name from view, but the climb can still be found by searching its original name, so search isn't broken by a report.

To report an offensive climb name:

  1. Go to the climb's page.

  2. Tap the ellipsis (···) in the upper right corner.

  3. Report the name, and include a note explaining why you believe it violates KAYA's Community Standards.
