KAYA PRO tracks several metrics designed to help you understand your climbing progress beyond just grades. These metrics are included in the Performance tier and the Outdoor tier, both of which include a 3 day free trial for new subscribers.
Workload is a combination of your volume and intensity when climbing. An increase in your average workload over 3 or more sessions means you've increased the total volume or intensity of your climbing, which helps you intentionally build fitness and time your peak performances.
Velocity refers to how quickly you send climbs, measured by the average number of attempts or sessions it takes you to send at a given grade. An increase in velocity means you're sending in fewer attempts than before, which reflects an increase in your overall climbing ability.
Intensity personalizes how challenging a climb is for you specifically, rather than relying on the grade alone. A V1 is very intense for a climber whose hardest send is V1, but easy for a climber whose hardest send is V10. Intensity helps you pick the right climbs for a given training goal, like working in your "hard zone."
Climbing Level reflects how hard you consistently climb right now, based on your ability to flash, send within your hard intensity zone, and reach new limits, rather than any single metric like a max hang or split.
Attempt Timer helps you find your ideal rest time between attempts, since every climber recovers differently.
