HOW TO USE
KAYA PRO OFFLINE

KAYA PRO’s offline features give you access to maps, GPS, climb topos and beta videos even when you’ve got no cell service. It’s a gamechanger.

Offline Mode enables you to download individual destinations (ex: Joe’s Valley) and beta videos (ex: a beta video for The Angler shared by a climber like you) for use when you do not have cell service.

To download an area for offline use:

1. From your KAYA homepage, locate the destination you want to download for offline access:

   1. If the destination is under your recent Locations, tap the download icon () to the right of the location.

   2. From the destination gallery or map page, locate the download area icon () and tap it.

2. Wait for KAYA to finish downloading the destination before entering areas with no cell service. A destination will be ready for offline use when the icon changes to a green phone ().

Note: Tapping the download icon on ANY page will download the entire destination.

To download beta videos for offline use:

1. From your KAYA homepage, navigate to the beta video you want to download for offline access.  Tap on the download icon () on the right side of the screen.  It is the fourth button from the top.

2. Wait for KAYA to finish downloading the beta video before entering areas with no cell service. 

To access offline destinations and beta videos when offline:

1. Open KAYA

2. Downloaded locations will appear in your Locations list on your homepage.

3. Downloaded beta videos will appear under the Offline Media tab. 

NOTES:

• For best results, please ensure your phone is fully switched to airplane mode when utilizing KAYA’s offline features.
  
  
• Downloading a Destination does *not* download all available beta videos for that area. You must download videos individually. 
  
  
• Offline Mode cannot offer turn by turn GPS guidance, but you can use your position on the map to easily make your way to and from climbs.
